01 Zid store development
Zid stores built to sell, with the platform’s limits designed around
Zid store development covers theme design, full store configuration, payment and shipping setup, and analytics that reports accurate revenue — built for Saudi merchants already trading on Zid or choosing it deliberately. Revneura builds on Zid from SAR 30,000, typically in two to four weeks. We do not treat Zid as the consolation prize behind Salla. It is a Saudi platform with a real merchant base, and the right question is not which platform is better in the abstract but which one fits how your business actually operates.

02 Scope
What we build on Zid
- Theme design against your brand and your catalogue structure
- Full store configuration — products, categories, variants, policies, shipping zones
- Payment setup for the methods you are approved to accept, including cash on delivery
- Native Arabic and English storefront copy for an agreed product count
- Analytics and conversion tracking, validated against a test order
- Launch, device QA and team handover
03 Fit
Who should be on Zid
The merchants for whom Zid is the right call, in our experience of scoping these projects, share some combination of:
- They are already trading on it successfully. The most common and most overlooked reason. A working store with orders flowing is an asset, and migrating it has a real cost in money, risk and downtime. If the problem is that the store was built badly rather than that the platform is wrong, rebuilding on Zid is faster, cheaper and less risky than migrating.
- Their operations fit it. Fulfilment model, warehousing, team structure and the back-office tools they already use.
- Their team already knows the admin. Platform migration has a training cost nobody puts in the quote, and it lands on the person who processes orders every day.
And the merchants for whom it is not: those who need a specific third-party app that only exists elsewhere, and those selling significantly across borders. Both point toward Shopify localised for the Saudi market.
04 Platform limits
Theme design and what is customisable on Zid
The general principle holds across every hosted platform: presentation is broadly yours to control, checkout and core commerce logic are progressively more constrained, and capability can vary by plan tier.
Our commitment does not depend on that check: we establish what the platform allows against your specific requirements during scoping, before the quote is fixed. If something you need is not possible, you hear it before you have paid for it.
05 Payments and shipping
Payments, shipping and cash on delivery
Mada, buy-now-pay-later, Apple Pay, cards, and cash on delivery — configured for what you are approved to accept. Provider approval is yours to obtain; we integrate what you have.
Cash on delivery deserves its own line on this page, because it is heavily used by Saudi merchants of the profile that chooses Zid, and it is usually configured carelessly. COD carries a higher return and refusal rate than prepaid, it ties up stock, and it creates a reconciliation burden somebody has to carry weekly. We will set it up, and we will also tell you what it is costing you — including whether restricting it by basket value, by city or by customer history would make you more money than offering it universally.
06 Migration
Moving from Zid to Salla, or the other way
Both directions come up, and neither should be done on instinct.
Before quoting a migration we audit what you have: catalogue size and data quality, order and customer history, how much organic traffic the store earns and which URLs carry it, what integrations you depend on, and what your team would have to relearn. Then we tell you whether the migration is worth it. Sometimes the answer is that the platform was never the problem — the store was built badly, and rebuilding on the platform you are already on gets you the same result faster and cheaper.
If the move is right, redirects from old product and category URLs are part of the work. A migration without them is how a store loses rankings that took two years to build, and it is the single most common migration failure we see.
For the reverse decision, see our Salla store design page, or the platform-agnostic comparison on the e-commerce store development hub.
07 Cost and timeline
What it costs and how long it takes
From SAR 30,000, typically two to four weeks. The same factors move it upward: product count beyond the agreed scope, custom functionality, a complex migration with poor source data, and commissioned photography or copy.
All prices in Saudi riyals. All prices include 15% VAT.
Compare against other builds on the online store cost page. After launch, the monthly growth systems handle abandoned carts, customer messaging and reviews.
08 FAQ
Common questions
How much does a Zid store cost?
From SAR 30,000 for theme design, full configuration, Arabic and English copy, payments, shipping and validated tracking — the same starting price as Salla and Shopify, because the work is comparable. You get a fixed written quote before work begins.
Should I move from Zid to Salla?
Only if the platform is genuinely the constraint. Migration costs money, carries risk, and forces your team to relearn a daily tool. We audit first and will tell you when the honest answer is to rebuild where you are.
Can you fix my existing Zid store instead of rebuilding it?
Often, yes, and it is usually the better value. We audit and tell you whether the issue is the theme, the configuration, the product data or the traffic — four very different problems with four very different price tags.
Do you set up cash on delivery?
Yes, and we will also tell you what it costs you in returns, tied-up stock and reconciliation. Restricting it by basket value or city is frequently more profitable than offering it on everything.
Will my tracking be accurate?
It is validated before launch against a test order — one purchase event, correct revenue. Broken e-commerce tracking is common, invisible, and corrupts every media decision you make afterwards.
Can you migrate my products and customers into Zid?
In most cases. What transfers cleanly depends on your source platform and the state of your data, so we audit the export before quoting rather than promising a clean transfer and discovering otherwise mid-project.
